courtesy of comingsoon.net

Actor Jesse Eisenberg discusses the role of fatherhood in the film and its impact on his character's mental breakdown

In a recent interview with ComingSoon Editor-in-Chief Tyler Treese, Jesse Eisenberg opens up about his role in the Lionsgate thriller 'Manodrome' and the importance of fatherhood in the film. Eisenberg plays the character Ralphie, a man wrestling with his own feelings of masculinity and sexuality, who is about to become a father. According to Eisenberg, the impending arrival of his child triggers a psychological breakdown that pushes him to question his own identity and past mistakes. The actor emphasizes the vulnerability and responsibility that comes with fatherhood, and how it can deeply impact a person's mental state.

Eisenberg reflects on the challenging role of Ralphie and the physical transformation he underwent for the film

Eisenberg also discusses the unique nature of his role in 'Manodrome' and how it challenged him both as an actor and physically. He describes the character as someone who is deeply confused and vulnerable, and whose emotions and actions are driven by shame and rage. Eisenberg explains that while the plot of the film may seem confusing, it is emotionally logical and allows him to fully explore his character's experiences and expressions. The actor praises the opportunity to take on roles that delve into the complexities of human emotions, and expresses his enthusiasm for portraying characters like Ralphie.

The actor commends Adrien Brody's performance and his ability to draw in viewers

Eisenberg also praises his co-star Adrien Brody's performance in the film, noting the actor's engaging and mysterious qualities. He describes Brody as someone who is able to captivate and draw in viewers, which makes him the perfect choice for the role of the cult leader in the film. Eisenberg discusses the seamless transition between their off-screen conversations and their on-screen interactions, as both characters experience similar feelings of confusion and vulnerability when looking into each other's eyes. He attributes Brody's charisma and allure to his ability to effectively portray the cult leader.

'Manodrome' explores the complexities of masculinity and challenges societal norms

Eisenberg highlights the film's exploration of masculinity and its various facets. He emphasizes that the phrase "be a man" no longer has a singular meaning, and that society has progressed to recognize that being a man can mean different things to different people. 'Manodrome' pushes the boundaries of societal expectations by addressing topics such as sexuality, domestic life, and physical appearance. Eisenberg's character, Ralphie, embodies a version of masculinity that doesn't fit the traditional mold, which adds to the complexity of the film's exploration of the concept.

Eisenberg confirms his involvement in 'Now You See Me 3'

During the interview, Eisenberg also confirms his involvement in the upcoming film 'Now You See Me 3'. He expresses his excitement for the project and describes his character as confident, a performer, and a showman. The actor describes the role as a breath of fresh air compared to the emotionally charged characters he has portrayed in films like 'Manodrome'.

'Manodrome' is now playing in theaters and is also available digitally and through video-on-demand platforms.

What happened to Rose from ’90 Day Fiancé?’

Several reality TV stars have emerged from TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé, but perhaps there has been no bigger name than “Big Ed” Brown. But, what happened to his ex-partner, Rose Vega — the first woman he was attached to in the franchise?

Big Ed and Rose hit our television screens as notables in season 4’s Before the 90 Days. The fan-favorite iteration was released in 2020 and featured Ed, who lives in California, traveling and staying with Rose in her native Philippines. Although there was a 31-year age gap and stark cultural difference, the two pursued love while becoming 90 Day Fiancé’s most talked-about couple.

The two had met online but never interacted in life — but that changed when they signed on to the reality show. We watched them embrace in person for the first time and witnessed how over the moon Ed was about ending his decades-long single streak with the mother-of-one. Big Ed rapidly became a beloved cast member, but that wasn’t as true with Rose. She faced a lot of criticism from the community because of the assumption she was only interested in Big Ed because of money and the potential of United States citizenship.

Regardless, things went up in flames after Big Ed revealed to Rose that he didn’t want any more children and had his eyes set on a vasectomy. The Filipino dumped Big Ed, which kickstarted the latter’s appearances in several more franchise seasons. But, that was the last we saw of Rose on the reality TV show.

Since then, Rose has continued living in The Philippines while leveraging her online star power. She’s active on several platforms and boasts over 500 thousand followers on Instagram and 750 thousand subscribers on YouTube. On Instagram, Rose frequently posts photos of herself around Asia and with her son, Prince. And she also occasionally drops a nod to 90 Day Fiancé via memes and throwbacks.

She’s posted around 20 video blogs on YouTube within the last year featuring her shopping and going to a concert, among other things. Besides monetizing through these avenues, Rose has merchandise and a Cameo profile.

On her website, “Rose Vega Store,” she sells accessories and clothes like hoodies and crewnecks. Some products have roses on them, while others sport Filipino words and expressions. As mentioned, fans of Rose’s can also find her on Cameo where she charges $30 for a shout-out video.

Although Rose has left the reality television limelight, she’s leaned into the opportunity it afforded her by creating content and selling merch. And for Ed? Well, he’s still traversing the ups and downs of love as a 90 Day Fiancé staple.

Tori Spelling Poses With ‘90210’ Costars Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley

Tori Spelling was all smiles as she posed with former Beverly Hills, 90210 costars Brian Austin Green and Jason Priestley.

Alongside a snap of the trio placing their arms around each other, Spelling, 50, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, April 14, “It’s a Donna sandwich. And, we are in Pittsburgh so don’t hold the pickles. @brianaustingreen @jason_priestley.”

The teen drama series, which debuted on Fox in October 1990 and ran for 10 seasons until May 2000, followed the Walsh Family as they transitioned from the Midwest to Beverly Hills. Teenage twins, Brandon (Priestley) and Brenda (Shannen Doherty) made a new circle of friends at West Beverly Hills High School, including Donna Martin (Spelling) and David Silver (Green).

The franchise has since had many spinoffs through the years, including Melrose Place and BH90210, which premiered in 2019 and featured several OG cast members. (Ahead of the series premiere, Luke Perry died at the age of 52 after suffering a massive stroke in March 2019.)

'Beverly Hills, 90210’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

“We are all so excited to go back to work together because it’s like family coming back together,” Spelling exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2019 about the project, which ultimately was canceled after one season.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 former costars have remained close friends through the years. In February 2021, Priestley, 54, Green, 50, and Ian Ziering (who portrayed Steve Sanders) reunited for lunch in Sherman Oaks, California. The actors were seen sharing laughs and talking while sitting together in photos published by E! News at the time.

While the cast members may look back at their time filming the series fondly, Priestley shared that his daughter Ava couldn’t help but mock his fashion choices. (Jason shares his daughter with wife Naomi Lowde-Priestley, whom he tied the knot with in 2005. The pair also share son Dashiell, 14.)

“My daughter for a while wanted to watch episodes of the show, but only wanted to watch them with me so she could make fun of me,” Jason said of his 16-year-old during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark in January. “My flip phone, my mom jeans — all the stuff. She thought it was hilarious.”

Cohost Kelly Ripa then asked Jason if he ever gets noticed at his kids’ schools. “Not really, because I kind of look like Brandon’s dad now,” Jason quipped.

Ripa, 53, reassured him, “That’s not true. You look just like Brandon, I would know.”
