YouTube Censorship Drama

Theo Von, known for his unfiltered conversations on his podcast, is no stranger to controversy. After his chat with Roseanne Barr was censored by YouTube, he finds himself facing more problems with high-profile guests.

UFC Maestro Dana White's Support

Von recently had a discussion with UFC maestro Dana White on his podcast, where they talked about sponsorships. White suggested that shows should be aware of a sponsor's beliefs before entering a long-term relationship. This led Von to share his experience with inviting Robert F. Kennedy, a presidential candidate, on his show earlier this year.

Pressure from Sponsors

Von revealed that two sponsors demanded he take down the episode featuring Kennedy due to the candidate's controversial views on vaccines, especially COVID-19 boosters. White, however, mocked the unnamed sponsors and defended Kennedy as a brilliant man who asks hard questions.

Defending Freedom of Speech

White also shared his own experience with facing pressure from a "big" UFC sponsor after sharing a pro-Trump video on his personal social media account. He stood his ground and emphasized that everyone has the right to express their opinions freely.

A Dig at Peloton

Von disclosed that one of the sponsors pressuring him to remove the Kennedy episode was Peloton, known for selling stationary bikes. White couldn't help but mock the company and its CEO, Barry McCarthy, for their objection to Kennedy's appearance on the show.

Despite the controversy, Theo Von and Dana White remain unapologetic and determined to continue their candid conversations on their respective platforms.
