Tori Spelling Poses With ‘90210’ Costars Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley

Tori Spelling was all smiles as she posed with former Beverly Hills, 90210 costars Brian Austin Green and Jason Priestley.

Alongside a snap of the trio placing their arms around each other, Spelling, 50, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, April 14, “It’s a Donna sandwich. And, we are in Pittsburgh so don’t hold the pickles. @brianaustingreen @jason_priestley.”

The teen drama series, which debuted on Fox in October 1990 and ran for 10 seasons until May 2000, followed the Walsh Family as they transitioned from the Midwest to Beverly Hills. Teenage twins, Brandon (Priestley) and Brenda (Shannen Doherty) made a new circle of friends at West Beverly Hills High School, including Donna Martin (Spelling) and David Silver (Green).

The franchise has since had many spinoffs through the years, including Melrose Place and BH90210, which premiered in 2019 and featured several OG cast members. (Ahead of the series premiere, Luke Perry died at the age of 52 after suffering a massive stroke in March 2019.)

'Beverly Hills, 90210’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

“We are all so excited to go back to work together because it’s like family coming back together,” Spelling exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2019 about the project, which ultimately was canceled after one season.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 former costars have remained close friends through the years. In February 2021, Priestley, 54, Green, 50, and Ian Ziering (who portrayed Steve Sanders) reunited for lunch in Sherman Oaks, California. The actors were seen sharing laughs and talking while sitting together in photos published by E! News at the time.

While the cast members may look back at their time filming the series fondly, Priestley shared that his daughter Ava couldn’t help but mock his fashion choices. (Jason shares his daughter with wife Naomi Lowde-Priestley, whom he tied the knot with in 2005. The pair also share son Dashiell, 14.)

“My daughter for a while wanted to watch episodes of the show, but only wanted to watch them with me so she could make fun of me,” Jason said of his 16-year-old during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark in January. “My flip phone, my mom jeans — all the stuff. She thought it was hilarious.”

Cohost Kelly Ripa then asked Jason if he ever gets noticed at his kids’ schools. “Not really, because I kind of look like Brandon’s dad now,” Jason quipped.

Ripa, 53, reassured him, “That’s not true. You look just like Brandon, I would know.”

JCVD & Dolph Lundgren staged a fight at Cannes to promote Universal Soldier

Universal Soldier

The Cannes Film Festival has a storied history of infamous moments. We think of Brigitte Bardot in her bikini, Spike Lee threatening Wim Wenders with a baseball bat after losing the Palme d’Or, pretty much everything Lars Von Trier has said or done…But one that really caught the media’s attention was when Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren went at it on the red carpet, with people under the impression that the Universal Soldier co-stars and European macho men were really at each other’s throats. Turns out, it was all just a gag for the press.

It’s one thing that Universal Soldier was even being represented at the Cannes Film Festival but another entirely that it wasn’t even screened! As it was, despite a minor presence on the Palais des Festivals, Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi action flick wasn’t part of any screenings because it wasn’t complete. As such, it needed some extra promotion. So leave it to the Muscles from Brussels to concoct a plan that would give Universal Soldier a little boost in publicity ahead of its summer 1992 premiere.

As JCVD told Arsenio Hall of the staged Universal Soldier spat at Cannes, “The movie was complete but not cut yet…So I was in Cannes in Dolph. So I call his room, I say, ‘Dolph, we have a problem: we’re here, we have no movie to show…So let’s do something special. Remember when Sly and Arnold were dancing in Cannes [in 1990]? What about you and I…having a friction on the steps of the red carpet…So he said, ‘Yeah, that’s a good idea.’ So we push around each other and we made all the news in Cannes.” When Hall pressed JCVD if he really made up the entire red carpet tussle, he confirmed, “It was free publicity. I’m a businessman.”

Rumors were abound that JCVD and Dolph Lundgren didn’t get along while making Universal Soldier so when they pretended to go at it while the likes of David Lynch, Sidney Lumet and Robert Altman were waiting to see if they would take home the Palme d’Or, it was easy to buy. And the stunt paid off, with Universal Soldier opening at #2 and going on to be a fan favorite in the catalogs of both stars.

Deadpool and Wolverine’s next MCU appearance rumored to be revealed, and you’ll love it

Is Deadpool & Wolverine a one-off farewell to Fox’s X-Men franchise? Or is it just the beginning of a new lease of life for Hugh Jackman’s Logan and Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson within the MCU? That’s the big question going into this summer’s Deadpool 3, but it’s certainly the fandom’s dearest desire that our new favorite dynamic duo will be back.

If a reunion was ever going to happen, 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars seemed like the only option. Given that the grand conclusion to the Multiverse Saga is expected to bring back a bunch of Marvel legacy stars, a sneaky return from Jackman once more would make sense. In fact, various rumors have pointed to this being in the works, potentially with Jackman teaming up with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man (be still my beating heart).

Just to keep you fully apprized of the situation, there is some talk happening about ‘Pool and Wolvie working together even sooner, though. It’s not so much the latest word on the street as a whisper heard in a doorway, but there is some chatter happening that Marvel Studios might be considering putting the two characters in Avengers 5 (formerly known as The Kang Dynasty). Even better, this would be in addition to their roles in Secret Wars.

This rumor does contrast with what we’ve heard about Kang Dynasty so far, which is that it wouldn’t be as huge in scope as its Infinity Saga counterpart, Infinity War, and would instead focus on a small group of Avengers, made up of those from Phases Four and Five — including Sam Wilson’s Captain America, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight. The multiversal mayhem was then expected to unfold in Secret Wars.

Still, with Kang potentially being written out of the film, it might make more sense to simply give us the good stuff sooner than later and bring in the big guns like Deadpool and Wolverine ASAP. Especially as D&W looks set to be one of the biggest MCU success stories of the decade once it hits theaters this July 26.

Again, though, this is just a mutant murmuring rather than anything we should get ourselves too excited about. The good news is that, despite being director-less, the last word on Avengers 5 said it was still fully on target to make its release date of May 7, 2026. Waiting less than two years for more Wade ‘n’ Logan? We could manage that.
