Season 5 Part 2 is not the end!
Good news for fans of Netflix's Virgin River – the show has not ended after Season 5 Part 2. The first part of Season 5 premiered on September 7, 2023, with 10 episodes. The final 2 episodes of the season, Part 2, started streaming on November 30, 2023. But don't worry, there's more to come!
Season 6 is confirmed!
Netflix announced on May 17, 2023, that Virgin River would be returning for a sixth season. The ending of Season 5 sets up the story perfectly for the next season. Originally, Season 6 was expected to be released in late 2024. However, due to strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, production has been delayed and the release date is now likely to be in 2025.
Expect more than one season!
Not only is Season 6 confirmed, but there may be even more seasons of Virgin River in the future. Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith revealed in an interview with Deadline that Season 6 is expected to begin production in the first half of 2024. He also mentioned that moving forward, they are looking at a 10-episode season.
The show stars Martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge as the leading characters, Jack Sheridan and Melinda Munroe. Other familiar faces include Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Lauren Hammersley, Grayson Maxwell Gurnsey, and Marco Grazzini. Fans can look forward to seeing how these characters return in future seasons.
