Chucky: Wanna Play? – A Killer Doll Simulator That Almost Was

In 2011, the Child's Play franchise was looking to expand into the gaming world. TikGames, a small video game developer, had big dreams for a Chucky game called Chucky: Wanna Play?. The game aimed to give players a killer doll simulator experience, but unfortunately, the crowdfunding campaign fell short of its goal. Despite the missed opportunity, test footage of the game's first level showcased a promising adventure set in Andy Barclay's old apartment. It's a shame we'll never get to see what could have been.

Chucky: Slash & Dash – A Mobile Game Misstep

In the early 2010s, Chucky made his video game debut with Chucky: Slash & Dash, a mobile game that didn't quite hit the mark. With gameplay reminiscent of Temple Run, players took control of Chucky or Tiffany as they ran through an infinite Good Guy doll factory, slashing up security guards along the way. However, the game failed to impress and was ultimately delisted from the App Store in 2014. It seems this Chucky adventure was better left in the past.

Dead by Daylight – The Ultimate Horror Icon Mashup

Finally, in 2023, Chucky fans got the news they had been waiting for. Dead by Daylight, an asymmetrical multiplayer game, announced a Chucky-themed DLC. Players would be able to take on the role of either Chucky or Tiffany, voiced by Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly respectively. This highly anticipated expansion pack has horror fans excited for what could finally be a worthy interactive Chucky experience. Will this addition be a game-changer or a catastrophic failure? Only time will tell.
