Regeneration and New Time Lords

Doctor Who is undergoing one of its biggest regenerations in its 60-year history. David Tennant is returning to celebrate the sci-fi institution's anniversary as the fourteenth Doctor in a trio of specials. Following that, Ncuti Gatwa will take over as the fifteenth Doctor for at least two seasons.

The BBC and Disney Join Forces

In a groundbreaking partnership, the BBC and Disney have teamed up to spearhead the next era of Doctor Who. This collaboration means that all future episodes, including Tennant's specials and Gatwa's era, will exclusively stream on Disney Plus internationally. The BBC will continue to air new episodes in the UK.

Doctor Who Premieres on Disney Plus

Doctor Who will start streaming on Disney Plus on November 25, 2023. The first special, titled "The Star Beast," will be available at 10:30 a.m. PT/1:30 p.m. ET, coinciding with its BBC One airtime at 6:30 p.m. in the UK. The next two specials will premiere weekly on December 2 and December 9.

Exciting New Era for the Whoniverse

The show's Disney debut on November 25, 2023, coincides with Doctor Who's birthday on November 23. This marks the beginning of a brand-new era for the Whoniverse, making it the perfect way to celebrate.

Previous Seasons and Where to Watch

As of November 2023, past seasons of Doctor Who are not available on Disney Plus. However, you can catch up on the series on other platforms. All 21st century episodes can be streamed on Max in the US or BBC iPlayer in the UK. Meanwhile, all 26 years of classic Doctor Who can be viewed on BritBox, which is available in the UK and through an Amazon Prime subscription in the US, Canada, and Australia.
