Six More Actors Join Cast of FX’s Alien Prequel Series
New Additions to the Cast
Six talented actors have officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated Alien prequel series coming to FX. According to Variety, Babou Ceesay, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille, and Adrian Edmondson are the latest additions to the show's main cast. While their roles are still under wraps, they will be joining Timothy Olyphant and David Rysdahl, who were announced earlier this week.
Exploring a Familiar Franchise
The upcoming FX series will mark the first-ever Alien story set on Earth. Show creator Noah Hawley plans to delve into the more grounded aspects of the franchise, while also incorporating the familiar presence of Weyland-Yutani, the massive corporation seen in nearly every Alien property. Hawley aims to deliver a series that captures the horror-action essence of the franchise while exploring new themes within the established world.
Plot Details and Familiar Faces
The untitled Alien series is written and directed by Noah Hawley and features a talented ensemble cast. In addition to the newly announced actors, the series stars Alex Lawther, Sydney Chandler, Kit Young, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav. While specific plot details are being kept under wraps, the series is said to be a prequel story set before Sigourney Weaver's iconic films.
Behind the Scenes
The project is executive produced by Noah Hawley, Ridley Scott, and Dana Gonzales, with Chris Lowenstein on board as the producer. Alongside the FX series, 20th Century Studios is also working on a brand new installment in the Alien film franchise titled Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Álvarez.
Alien fans are eagerly awaiting the release of both the FX series and Alien: Romulus, as they continue to expand the beloved sci-fi universe.
